CPU – AMD Ryzen 7 5800X

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X

Sitting at the mid-tier of the latest Ryzen 5000 series lineup, the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X provides excellent performance for both gaming and content creation. Compared to the previous generation, the AMD Ryzen 5000 series saw a 19% increase in IPC throughput, and AMD has claimed a win over Intel’s 10th gen CPUs in gaming benchmarks.

On paper, the Ryzen 7 5800X comes with 8 cores and 16 threads with a base clock speed of 3.8 GHz and can boost up to 4.7 GHz. It is important to note that AMD has included an all-new thermal design in this CPU which means that while yes you may get better performance out of this chip than its predecessor because of its lower power consumption and increased efficiency, but there are significant improvements in cooling as well. Also, the Precision Boost Overdrive 2 on the AMD Ryzen 5000 series means that you have more control over your clock speeds. Overlockers will rejoice with this new feature that lets you target a clock speed of your choice, provided the conditions are met.

We also have to mention AMD SenseMI Technology which is an intelligent learning system with machine-learning capabilities and AI algorithms built into it. This allows for better power efficiency by adapting to different workloads (gaming vs content creation) and using on-chip sensors to optimize performance based on temperature, voltage, frequency, etc.

For high-end gaming, the Ryzen 7 5800X will serve well and is more than enough to meet the needs of most gamers. It also performs well in content creation tasks, meaning that this CPU has excellent all-around performance and will be a good choice for multi-taskers!

Graphics Card – AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT

AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT

Powered by the RDNA 2 architecture, the AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT is a powerhouse graphics card that is designed for gamers and professionals who demand the latest in GPU power. The Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards are based on AMD’s new RDNA 2 architecture, which utilizes a smaller die size than Vega or Polaris architectures. The use of these cutting-edge manufacturing technologies means that the memory bandwidth has been significantly improved over previous generations, making this card even more powerful.

The Infinity Cache technology also plays a huge role. AMD asserts this is three times faster than GDDR6 memory on a 256-bit bus. AMD also says that the use of its new Infinity Cache technology in combination with GDDR6 VRAM will result in twice as much bandwidth per watt as if you were to just rely on the latter for all your GPU’s needs. This means that when it comes up against the direct competitor Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080, which is advantaged by their use of more expensive and power-hungry GDDR6X VRAM for additional performance, there should be less difference between them. Also, thanks to the Smart Access Memory, which allows your CPU to take advantage of all our GPU’s memory, which then boosts the performance of your gaming PC. This is why the combination of Ryzen 7 5800X and Radeon RX 6800 XT is definitely something worth considering.

The Radeon RX 6800 XT has been designed from the ground up as an affordable high-end gaming graphics card for gamers and professionals who want to game at 1440p or 4k resolutions with maximum detail settings enabled. It also works well with demanding professional applications such as CAD and video editing software where high-performance GPU power can be used to render complex designs accurately in real-time.

Furthermore, thanks to the 280mm radiator size this particular model offers more surface area than traditional 240mm coolers which translates into an increased heat dissipation capacity during demanding gaming sessions or heavy workloads when overclocking your system.

There is also an LCD screen at the cap that allows you to view the status of your PC and customize the look using GIFs through a bright, 24-bit color screen with a resolution of 320 x 320px.

This NZXT Kraken Z63 280mm AIO cooler is designed for those who want an all-in-one cooling solution that offers powerful yet quiet cooling with long-term reliability, aesthetics, and silence. With a chamfered intake design, this cooler can offer more airflow than most dual-fan tower coolers on the market today while still being able to be relatively silent when operating at maximum speed. When it comes down to performance vs noise level, I believe NZXT has done a great job balancing both aspects which makes me strongly recommend this product as part of this build if having an attractive-looking rig with good thermal potential.
