Sitting at the mid-tier of the latest Ryzen 5000 series lineup, the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X provides excellent performance for both gaming and content creation. We all know that Ryzen processors love fast memory, so we decided to choose the Crucial Ballistix 3600Mhz CL16 32GB RAM kit for this Ryzen powered PC.
Though 16GB should be optimal for most gamers, we will use 32GB for this build as we know that there is a need for more than 16GB of physical address space knowing that this PC will be used not just for gaming but also for content creation. And 32GB should be enough with some leftover just in case. It really depends on what type of activity the user will be doing, so choosing how much RAM to go with is a personal decision. Also, we will be benefited from the speed of 3600Mhz CL16 as modern gaming requires constant data access – so having fast memory matters. Ryzen processors are able to make better use out of faster DDR4 speeds which makes them very popular among enthusiasts who want performance without spending a fortune on their hardware setup.

For additional storage, you can either get an SSD or Hard drive. The SSD will be faster and more expensive, while the hard drive is slower but cheaper. I recommend getting an SSD if you want a speed boost, or get an HDD to save money on your build.
For an SSD option, we recommend the SAMSUNG 870 QVO. This is Samsung’s latest QLC SSD with up to an incredible eight terabytes of storage. It’s great for storing all of your games and movies, or even as an additional storage option on a workstation. And with enhanced sequential speeds of 560 or 530 MB/s, depending on which interface you choose, it has an extended SATA limit and improved random access speed as well.
Similar to the SSD option, the Seagate BarraCuda comes with different storage sizes, while also being relatively cheap in price. The Seagate BarraCuda is one of the best HDD that is widely used by PC builders and known for being trustworthy and very reliable for storing data. We cannot cheap out the PSU as this build comes with high-value components. However, there are so many power supply options that we can use for this build that don’t break the bank.
