The AMD Ryzen 9 5900X has been around for a while now and, as many people expected, it offers incredible performance on gaming as well as record-breaking content creation results.
When it comes to raw performance, the Ryzen 9 5900X is definitely a huge step up from its predecessor. It’s based on the Zen 3 architecture, which AMD claims delivers a 19% improvement in Instruction Per Cycle (IPC) over Zen 2. Although both Zen 3 and Zen 2 are built on the 7nm process, there is a multitude of other improvements that make Zen 3 a lot more efficient. One of the most important changes is that each CCX (Core Complex) now has up to 8 cores, rather than 4 cores like on the previous generation Zen 2. This change reduces latency and improves cross-core communication. Furthermore, each CCX has access to the whole 32MB of L3 cache, as opposed to Zen 2 where only 16MB was available.
Looking at the specification of the processor, the Ryzen 9 5900X has 12 cores and 24 threads. It has a base clock of 3.7GHz and a boost clock of up to 4.8GHz. The total L2 cache is 6MB and the total L3 cache is 64MB.
In terms of gaming performance, the Ryzen 9 5900X is definitely one of the best CPUs on the market, capable of achieving incredible frame rates in both AAA games and esports titles. The Ryzen 9 5900X also proved to be an excellent choice for content creators. It managed to break multiple records in Cinebench and Blender, making it the perfect choice for professional use.
It’s no surprise that many gamers and even enthusiasts used the Ryzen 9 5900X to power their PC, as it is a great all-around processor that offers amazing performance in all areas. If you wish to build so, this article will help you out. We’ve compiled a list of components including the Ryzen 9 5900X that will allow you to build an amazing gaming and workstation PC. We will also discuss each component in detail and provide peripherals recommendations to go with the setup.

We’ve gone for the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti over the RTX 3090 because we thought that the RTX 3090 might be costly and overkill for most users, and it delivered virtually similar gaming performance having only a 3-4% difference. The GeForce RTX 3080 Ti also has a nice memory bandwidth increase thanks to the addition of two memory channels which makes it ideal for gaming as well as for creative works and productivity. However, one drawback could be its power consumption which is rated at 350W, 30W more than the RTX 3080. Nevertheless, the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti delivers around 14-20% better performance than the RTX 3080.
Ray tracing and DLSS are two important features of the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti that we’ll take a look at. Ray tracing is a rendering technique that traces the path of light as it bounces around in a scene to create realistic reflections, shadows, and more. The GeForce RTX 3080 Ti has 80 RT cores, which is 18% more than the RTX 3080. This will enable it to render ray-tracing effects faster. DLSS on the other hand is a new NVIDIA technology that uses deep learning to improve game performance while maintaining image quality, and because the RTX 3080 Ti boosts tensor cores by about 18 percent over the RTX 3080, it should be more adept at utilizing deep learning to enhance picture quality.
The RTX 3080 ti is an amazing graphics card. It’s one of the best on the market right now. It has great features and performs phenomenally. Pairing it with the Ryzen 9 5900X will result in an amazing PC build that can handle anything you throw at it.

The Sabrent 1TB Rocket provides plenty of storage capacity as the main drive, however, there are other memory capacities to choose from if you want more or less storage. This drive is also one of the fastest on the market, with a read speed that can reach up to 5000 MB/s and 4400 MB/s for write speed when using a PCIe Gen4. It is not impossible to reach these speeds since the motherboard (MSI MPG X570S Carbon MAX WiFi) we choose for this build fully utilizes the PCIe Gen4 on the M.2 NVMe slot.
There are features on this Sabrent 1TB Rocket that are worth mentioning such as the Advanced Wear Leveling, Error Correction Code, Over-Provision, and Bad Block Management. These work together to provide a drive that is not only fast but also reliable.

With all that said, the NZXT H510 Elite just really suits this PC build, from excellent airflow and cable management to nice aesthetics that really show off your components.
The NZXT H510 Elite case we use in this build comes with pre-installed fans at the rear and top, but they lack the RGB feature. So, if you want to change them for uniformity, we suggest getting the NZXT AER RGB 2 120mm fans.
These fans are the exact same fans that the NZXT Kraken Z63 RGB AIO cooler uses, but only in a 120mm version so they can fit in the rear and top fan mounts of the H510 Elite.
In terms of performance, the NZXT AER RGB 2 fans are excellent. They push a good amount of air while remaining relatively quiet, getting around 33 dBA when they were running at full speed. As for the lighting, the NZXT AER RGB 2 fans use Addressable RGB LEDs that can be controlled using NZXT’s CAM software or through compatible motherboard headers. The lighting effects are quite good and you can even sync them with other compatible NZXT RGB components.
